POETRY — MOON
Moonlight
Where the light goes, I follow — A Poem
I yearn for the night each day, eagerly awaiting the moon's embrace.
Like a celestial lantern, it illuminates the earth with a cool silvery glow.
Ever-changing through each of its mysterious phases.
When the glittering stars adorn the endlessness of the night sky, a new world emerges from the shadows.
A new wave of silence as the radiant orb guides me through dreams, where shadows hold their silent secrets.
The moonlight's presence is a peace of mind unbeknownst to me in the waking world.
In the heart of the night, I feel free with a steady serenity that seeps into my bones.
Night weaves its magic around me, my heart tuned to its ethereal rhythm.
My worries soothed, my soul nourished.
A selenophile by nature, drawn to its quiet beauty, I stand in awe of its presence, always awaiting its comforting light.
Nighttime has been a constant reprieve for as long as I can remember. It is a period of time that brings peace; it provides a space for me to exist alone as myself.
No pressures, no worries, no responsibilities.
As a natural night owl, being born late into the evening, it is a time when my best work is created.
My soft music, a recreational smoke, and nothing else but the sound of my fingers skating across the keys until I’m satisfied.
I love to get lost in my own little world.
